On April 20, 2010, the State Agency Green Employee (SAGE) Committee is inviting the public to attend the California Green Fair located on the West Steps of the Capitol. This free event offers on-site recycling collection, tips on going green, recycling demonstrations, contests, and a kid’s station.
Raising awareness about this event is important because it shows the State’s dedication in improving recycling and waste diversion efforts in California.
Created in 2008, the SAGE Committee is a network of State recycling specialists focused on improving recycling efforts and diversion within State agencies. Instead of purchasing new materials, members advertise their reusable materials or search for reused goods. SAGE’s mission is to create a more sustainable California.
