Definately not a picture for young children. I really enjoyed the film, the 3D was fabulous. It is a serious Dickens story, so I know the youngins would not understand the whole story line. It is definately not the Magoo version.

If you like Christmas Carol, you will really enjoy this.

Welcome to the 21st century Scrooge. It's the 1800s meet the computer age.

There is nothing "children" about this movie beside it being animated. The dialouges are coming directly out of the original book, aside from the few jokes & punts thrown in to lighten the mood. The graphics are truly stunning, down to the minor little details. Added the fact that it's in Digital 3D makes it an automatic Christmas stocker this year!!!

Parents, take our advise, leave the young ones at home & rent them the Mickey Mouse version. The dialouges are way beyond their level of understanding & there are several scenes that will give them nightmares.

Other than that, if you love the original story & enjoy watching the 1950s movie of it, then you will have a blast watching this. I think school teachers should show this to their students before having them read the book. At least I wish my middle school teacher show this version to me before making us read the book. Then maybe I'd took interest in the story & finish the book. Didn't even got half way throught it before I Google for a book report. No

Disney certainly knows how to make a good film, there is no doubt about it. My kids were not fans of the movie, they said it was too scary and I am pretty sure the point of the movie was lost on them.

It is a great movie for adults and I would highly recommend going to see it.
