| Let’s face it, the truth bites. Even worst, a world with nothing but the truth sucks BIG TIME! What's wrong with being honest you say? Try being honest without common courtesy and all opinions were given with nothing but the cold hard truth ALL THE TIME. This is a romantic comedy that delves into the philosophical idea “how would the world be without lying and cheating?” The answer is a really boring place without any artistic expression. For crying out loud, their Hollywood Blockbuster hits are all documentary films!!! Everything in life is either black or white. None of the grey area where the truth may be stretch a bit to make it more interesting. We all agree that lying and cheating is wrong, but let’s not forget, sometimes a little fib keeps everybody happy….”no hunnie, you don’t look fat” This is a nice comedy that will get some laughter out of you, unless you’re not a fan of the rom-com genre , then again, you wouldn’t be watching it in the first place. It’s pretty funny seeing everybody’s face brightens up with dumbfounded excitement listening to Mark’s blatant lies. Reminds me of the thrills I felt when telling a lie and everybody falls for it. The movie will take a stab your faith. You will get a big laugh out of this part of the movie unless making joke of religion offends you. In the end, this movie tries to teach you a moral: “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, outer appearance can be a lie to the truth hidden beneath you”.……Ohh, “stretching the truth a bit makes life more interesting” | |

| it was pretty cute. not the funniest thing I've ever seen, but not bad. I thought Gervais was much better in Ghost Town. | |
